Frequently Asked Questions
How long do sessions run?
Sessions typically run 50 minutes for individual sessions and 80 min for couples therapy, as per the Gottman Method. Intensives are also available if requested, these can run up to 3 hours.
What is the Gottman Method?
The Gottman Method is a form of couples therapy developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, based on decades of research into what makes relationships succeed or fail. It aims to help couples build stronger relationships through practical tools and strategies. Some core principles include building love maps, share fondness and admiration, managing conflict and creating shared meaning. The Four horsemen of the apocalypse is also a core tenant of the Gottman Method, this predicts relationship breakdown through communication patterns.
How do subscriptions work?
Our subscription plans are designed to provide consistent, high-quality care at a discounted rate compared to booking individual sessions. Available in three tiers—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—each package offers 2, 3, or 4 sessions per month, respectively. These plans are available for both individuals and couples, making ongoing support more accessible and affordable.
Subscriptions automatically renew each month but can be cancelled at any time, giving you flexibility and control over your care. Please note that sessions do not roll over from month to month, so regular use is encouraged to get the most from your plan. As an added benefit, all active subscribers receive complimentary access to our workshops, further enriching their therapeutic journey.
This model was created to support your well-being on a regular basis, with the convenience and savings that come from a monthly commitment.
What is your cancellation policy?
To respect both your time and ours, we kindly ask that all appointments be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be subject to a 50% charge of the session fee, as that time was reserved specifically for you. This policy helps us maintain availability and fairness for all clients
Do you accept Insurance?
Absolutely! We accept most major insurances. Many of our clients also use out of network benefits to request partial or full reimbursement from their insurance providers. While we cannot guarantee reimbursement, we do provide you with superbills to provide to your insurance provider. For clients who do not have insurance or do not want to use their insurance we also accept private pay in the forms of all major credit or debit cards, Zelle and Venmo. Fees will be charged at the beginning of session.
Do you provide virtual or in person sessions?
As we continue to evolve in response to client needs, we’ve decided to step away from offering in-person sessions. This change comes after observing that in-person appointments have not been frequently requested. Moving forward, we’ll be focusing on providing high-quality care through virtual sessions, which offer greater flexibility and accessibility for our clients. We are open to going back to office if more clients request this option.
What can I expect from the free consultation?
We offer a free 30-minute consultation to learn more about what brings you in and to determine if we’re a good fit for working together. During this time, we’ll discuss our services, rates, and subscription options to help you make an informed decision. You will also share more about what brings you in and support needed.
After the consultation, you’ll receive a follow-up email that you can respond to when you're ready to move forward. If you decide not to proceed, we’re still here to support you—I’d be happy to offer referrals to help you find the right fit for your needs.
How do the workshops work?
We offer both personal and professional development workshops. These workshops are free for members with active subscriptions, and available at a low cost for non-subscribers.
Our professional workshops are designed to provide continuing education credits, making it easy and affordable for professionals to stay current in their field.
